Gardens of the Moon characters:
Ben Adaephon Delat:
Ben Adaephon Delat is also known in Gardens of the Moon as Quick Ben. He is described as having dark skin and being a tall, imposing figure with fine features. Ben once served as a mage for the 9th squad of the Bridgeburners. Ben was also born and raised in the Seven Cities and has a strong Seven Cities accent, which causes him to stand out. In Gardens of the Moon Ben is tasked with building tunnels underneath the city of Pale. Alongside the rest of the Bridgeburners. In Gardens of the Moon one of his closest friends and allies is Kalam Mekhar.
Kalam Mekhar:
Kalam Mekhar is also originally from the Seven Cities and is an experienced assassin. Despite being a large man, Kalam is able to move stealthily and is adept at remaining hidden, when he is tailing a hit. According to his friend Ben Adaephon Delat, when Kalam is about to kill someone, he will lower his voice and will speak in a low, menacing voice.
Tayschrenn:
Tayschrenn served as the Imperial Mage for the Malazan Empire and answered directly to the Empress of Malazan, Empress Laseen. Tayschrenn is described as having long features, mahogany skin, shrunken eyes and a slash shaped mouth. He is also described as being bald aside from a single braid which starts at the nape of his neck. In the Gardens of the Moon Empress Laseen sends Tayschrenn to Genabaris in order to start researching some important scrolls which have just been unearthed. Tayschrenn was ordered to try and find any information would could help the Malazan Empire find a mysterious, secret object.
Rallick Nom:
Rallick Nom was also a trained assassin and was member of the Ocelot Clan which was a part of guild in the city of Darujhistan. Rallick Nom spent much of him time at the Phoenix Inn, where he’d meet with his friends Kruppe, Coll, Crokus and Murillio. Rallick Nom also served as the mentor for one of his friends, Crokus. Who was much younger than Rallick Nom. Rallick Nom was described as being a tall, dark skinned man with jet black hair. While his weapon of choice was his trusty old fashioned crossbow. Which he had used to take down a multitude of unsuspecting targets.
Toc the Younger:
Toc the Younger was a scout and a Claw agent, who unfortunately was scarred for life during the siege of the city of Pale. During the siege Toc the Younger also lost one of his eyes. Although he was a military man, Toc the Younger was also known for being a skilled poet. One unusual feature about Toc the Younger is that he was a Claw despite not being a mage or an assassin.
