Those who also follow me on Twitter might have caught me vague-tweeting about squee-worthy news I couldn’t share last week. Well now I can and I’m super excited! Because the American Book Center in Amsterdam – the best bookstore in the Netherlands – is having an event with none other than the fantastic Lauren Beukes. Yes, you read that right:
I’m so freaking stoked about this, because I adore her writing, even if I still need to read her last two, which I bought, but saved to read as a treat and consequently never read because I always feel I need to read review copies first. (I know I’m an idiot) But it looks like I’ll have to remedy that before May 30th when Lauren is doing a reading, book signing, and Q&A at the ABC Treehouse in Amsterdam. There’s limited seats available, so if you want to attend be sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible, because you really don’t want to miss the chance to meet Lauren. You can find out more about the event on the ABC website and to learn more about Lauren you can visit her website. You can also check out my reviews for Zoo City, which won the Clarke award and the Kitschies Red Tentacle, and Moxyland.
