Sorry about that. One of these days I'm going to look into prettifying my comments again, but getting the site Cookie Law compliant was a pain I'm scared to fiddle with it!

I just read and reviewed this a few days back and it is as you say a "completely glorious" book from its cover image to the story itself.
I agree that some may SF fans may find it a little too heavy on the romance but I thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of the story. Like you I sometimes found myself cringing at the choices Cat made and often wanted to shake her and set her on a different path but to me that is the mark of a very real story with a character who is plausible as a human being. I got very emotionally attached to both her and Finn and reveled in all the details of their story, good and bad.
I couldn’t help but think during much of Finn’s overt reminders that he wasn’t human, “methinks thou dost protest too much”. 
This is one I strongly recommend and is one of my favorites of the year thus far. I conducted an interview with Cassandra Rose Clarke for SF Signal that will hopefully go live sometime next week.

I'm glad you posted this, because I've been interested in this book ever since I found out about it. I'm becoming increasingly impressed with Angry Robot. I've read maybe half a dozen of their books and they've all been fun and engaging. They've all been flawed as well - some quite significantly so - but flawed in interesting ways, which is surely better than playing it safe.

Anyway, looks like this one's going to be shifted from save for later to pre-order as soon as I'm done typing here :)

This certainly sounds like I should add it to my TBR list: I thought the premise sounded interesting, but it is good to get a solid recommendation.
